Miami Hurricanes blown out by UNC in 2nd half after 14-0 lead to start game

Just nine days after winning on a Ja’Quan Newton buzzer beater in Chapel Hill the Miami Hurricanes collapsed in the final four minutes of an 82-65 loss in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.

North Carolina fell into the 14-0 hole by missing its first 13 shots of the game. Miami had several opportunities to stretch the lead than that but were unable to assert themselves. ESPN’s sideline reporter Allison Williams reported that Miami Hurricanes Head Coach Jim Larranaga to his team to play their game and not to the score.

The Hurricanes shot nearly as poorly in the first half as North Carolina.
