After a 25-7 season and a third place finish in the ACC, the Miami Hurricanes were announced as a No. 3 seed in the 2016 NCAA Tournament. Placed in the South Region, Miami will begin their journey in March Madness against the Buffalo Bulls in Providence, RI on Thursday.
This NCAA Tournament appearance is Miami’s eighth in program history and is the first since the Hurricanes were a No. 2 seed and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen back in 2013. This will also be Coach Jim Larranaga’s seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament and his second with the Canes.
