The 2015-2016 season has been a breakout year for Ja’Quan Newton and luckily after a brief scare Wednesday night, his season won’t be ending anytime soon.
The sophomore point guard who has been crucial to the success of the Miami Hurricanes this season missed the team’s last game against Virginia Tech, but was cleared by doctors Thursday morning to practice with the team. While Coach Jim Larranaga wasn’t sure if Newton would be limited for North Carolina, his availability is certainly huge news before the team’s biggest game of the season.
With the Hurricanes and Tar Heels tied atop the conference at 10-3, Miami will need all hands on-deck as they look to move towards the ACC Regular Season title and possibly a No.
