University of Miami men’s basketball coach Jim Larrañaga received a grand jury subpoena for his phone records and emails as part of the FBI bribery probe, according to a tweet by Los Angeles Times reporter Nathan Fenno.
The Herald reported a few weeks ago that Larrañaga turned over his records to federal authorities. The coach also was interviewed by the FBI at Miami International Airport a few weeks ago.
“We are not legally allowed to discuss anything related to grand jury subpoenas or any matters related to a grand jury, but we want the U.S. Atttorney’s office to have every relevant communication and document in this case, the sooner the better,” said Ed Shohat, Larrañaga’s attorney.
