It certainly won’t be their stiffest competition of this season, but the 7-1 Miami Hurricanes did their job Saturday afternoon as they easily dispatched the Charlotte 49ers in a 88-60 victory.
Once again, a balanced attack led the Hurricanes as nine players ended the game with at least seven points, leading the Canes to their second-highest margin of victory this season.
While Coach Jim Larranaga’s squad certainly put up an impressive offensive performance, it was the defense that led the way in the first half. Besides center Joseph Uchebo who finished the first-half with ten points on 5-of-11 shooting, the rest of the team was kept ice-cold.
