Miami Hurricanes Baseball Falls to Central Florida 5-2

Central Florida scored right out of the box with a two-run top of the first. Miami starter Evan McKendry settled down after the rocky first inning. He pitched six innings allowing three runs on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts.

As they have all season, the Hurricanes offense continued to sputter. Miami didn’t get on the board until a single run in the eighth inning. They followed that up with another run in the ninth.

The Hurricanes brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth inning. Freshman Nico Baldor struck out to leave the tying runs stranded.
