After finishing third in the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu in 2017, the Miami Hurricanes basketball team will play in the Wooden Classic in Fullerton, California this season.
Miami has had a lot of success in Charleston. They are the only two-time champion of the tournament that will have its 11th competition next month. The Hurricanes won the title in 2009 and 2014.
The other six teams expected to compete along with the Miami Hurricanes and Florida Gators according to Rothstein are UConn, Xavier, Penn State, Saint Joseph’s, Towson, and Missouri State.
Miami’s 2009 title was the second annual Charleston Classic.
