A combination of conference tournament upsets and some questionable at-large teams likely cost the Miami Hurricanes an NCAA Tournament bid. The Hurricanes 44 Year streak included four National Championships and appearances in the last two college world series.
Per ESPN and the NCAA Tournament committee, Miami was one of the first four teams out of the tournament. There were some questionable teams to get in ahead of the Hurricanes.
The most glaring team that got in ahead of the Hurricanes is UCLA. The Bruins were 30-25 this season. They finished 19-11 and third in the Pac-12, compared to the Hurricanes 16-13 and sixth in the ACC.
