Miami-FSU still carries plenty of juice for players as unranked ‘Canes aim for fifth straight win in series and bowl-eligibility

If you ask a current Miami Hurricane their “number” — their record against rival Florida State — they won’t hesitate to tell you, and it’ll likely end in a zero.

For wide receiver Mike Harley, it’s 4-0, with the fifth-year senior saying “it’d be legendary” to go 5-0 against UM’s in-state rival heading into Miami’s road matchup against the Seminoles on Saturday at Doak S. Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.

“It’s everything,” UM offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said. “It’s the game. Everybody knows their number. I’ve played [Florida State] twice in my career — once was last year and once was in 2013 [as an offensive coordinator for Auburn in the national championship game].
