Former Houston dual-threat quarterback D’Eriq King spent Thursday through Saturday in Coral Gables. The Miami football program is one of several destinations King is considering playing for in 2020 as a graduate transfer. King was scheduled to visit Maryland following his Miami visit but reportedly canceled per multiple sources.
Instead of flying to College Park, King and his mother returned to Houston according to Andrew Ivins of Inside the U. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported that Oklahoma and LSU are potentially the biggest competition for the Miami football program to sign the 2018 Maxwell Award semifinalist.
