Miami Football Throttles Wildcats In Season Opener 45-0, RB's Have Big Night, Scott Has 100 Yards Receiving

Despite a lightning delay that lasted over an hour, the Miami Hurricanes won their first game of the season as they defeated the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats. Freshman running back Mark Walton had a big game as he led all rushers and scored his first UM touchdown. Joe Yearby scored on a 25-yard run in the second quarter as Miami showed flashes of brilliance running the football. Corn Elder returned a punt 72 yards for a touchdown and almost had two scores as one was wiped out by the refs. Rashawn Scott also emerged to have a big game receiving.

There was a lightning delay that lasted over an hour with Miami leading Bethune Cookman 10-0 with 9:18 to play in the second quarter Saturday night.
