Miami football survives itself to defeat Central Michigan

The close win was unexpected and one that the Miami football team should have won by a much greater margin. The offensive line continued to struggle and too many penalties on offense and defense hindered the Hurricanes in a 17-12 victory over Central Michigan. The Chippewas lost to Wisconsin 61-0.

Miami has the skill position players to contend for their second ACC Coastal Divison title in three seasons. If they do not get their offensive line playing better teams will continue to pressure the Hurricanes running game and Miami quarterback Jarren Williams. Central Michigan had nine tackles for loss and four sacks.
