Chase Young finished the 2019 season with 44 tackles 21 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks, three pass breakups and seven forced fumbles in 11 games as a junior in 2018. Greg Rousseau finished with 49 18 and 14 in 12 games. The redshirt freshman did not become a full-time player until the fifth game of the Miami football season.
The production Rousseau put out in his first full season playing college football exceeded what young produced as a true freshman in 2017. The 2019 Heisman Trophy finalist finished with 18 tackles five TFLs and three sacks in 2017.
