No University of Miami student-athlete, including football players, had the Coronavirus in the school’s two most recent cycles of testings, UM president Dr. Julio Frenk said.
Frenk, speaking Wednesday morning on CNBC, declined to say whether the Atlantic Coast Conference will decide to play football this season in the wake of the Big Ten and Pac-12 conferences canceling their seasons.
He said Miami and the ACC are, taking a “very, very thoughtful and analytical approach. Not just when it comes to athletics, but in general on the tough decision to open the campus for in-person instruction or go fully remote.
