Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald quoted offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson stating that sophomore quarterback Jacurri Brown provides the Miami football team with an extremely dominant trait. Brown was pressed into significant playing time as a true freshman due to a shoulder injury by Tyler Van Dyke.
At 6’4 and 210 pounds with elite athleticism and a big arm, Brown provides Miami with excellent skill sets at QB. Brown completed 60.0 percent of his passes for 230 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions with a 111.6 passer rating in 2022, while adding 54 carries for 223 rushing yards.
