Miami Football NFL Draft first round record could be challenged in 2020

Six Miami football players were chosen in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. That is a record that still exists. Alabama has a chance eclipse that record in the 2020 NFL Draft. Miami has not had a player chosen in the first round since 2017 and not had multiple players taken in the first round since 2015.

The Hurricanes had safety Sean Taylor, tight end Kellen Winslow, linebackers, Jonathan Vilma and D.J. Williams, offensive tackle Vernon Carey and nose tackle Vince Wilfork were the half dozen Miami Hurricanes who heard their names announced on April 24, 2004.
