Eric Hickson is a South Florida native who graduated from Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale before becoming a star running back at Kansas State. Hickson joins the Miami football staff after spending one year at his alma mater as the running backs coach.
Hickson has also had stops as a coach at high schools in Indianapolis and South Florida. That includes five seasons at American Heritage. Hickson and Miami Cornerbacks Coach Mike Rumph spent one season on the staff together at American Heritage.
Dickson’s collegiate coaching career has taken him to Garden City Community College in Kansas in 2014 and Akron as the Running Backs Coach from 2015-17 before his one season stint in Manhattan.
