Jarren Williams was named the starting quarterback for the Miami football team last Monday. Williams earning the starting nod was a shock nationally, but not to those that follow the team closely.
Tate Martell and N’Kosi Perry did not exhibit the accuracy or consistency during training camp that Williams had. Williams efficiency and leadership earned him the first-team QB. Perry and Martell’s spot and the co-second team QBs were part of the entire depth chart being released by the Miami football program on Monday.
During an appearance on the Joe Rose Show on Monday on WQAM, Miami head coach Manny Diaz said that Martell and Perry are still battling to be the second-team QB.
