Miami Football legend Ed Reed elected to Pro Football Hall of Fame

Ed Reed played 12 seasons in the National Football League following an All-American and National Championship career with the Miami football program. Reed is the Hurricanes all-time leader in interceptions with 21. He is tied for third all-time in school history with nine interceptions in 2001 and ranks fifth with eight INTs in 2000.

Reed and former Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants great, cornerback Everson Walls are the only players in NFL history to lead the league in interceptions three times. Reed is the only safety, but one of three defensive backs in the 2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame Class.
