Brooks is the first player in the Miami football team’s Surge ’19 Recruiting Class to announce his de-commitment with the news that Diaz is expected to be hired as the new Head Coach at Temple as soon as Thursday. He also becomes the third player from the Hurricanes 2019 Class to De-commit from Miami this month.
The Hurricanes lost offensive linemen Kingsley Eguakun and Michael Tarquin to Florida earlier this month. There is a strong chance that Brooks will not be the last linebacker to flip from the Miami football program in the Surge ’19 class.
