A tweet from Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports reported that the Miami football program is hiring experienced SEC coach Ishmael Aristide to their staff. Aristide is expected to coach strikers with Jonathan Patke moving to inside linebackers after Travis Williams left for Central Florida this week.
Williams is reuniting with Knight head coach Gus Malzahn who he coached under at Auburn. Aristide is originally from Orlando and according to Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, his father is the Athletic Director of longtime Hurricanes de-facto feeder school Miami Northwestern.
