The decision of four-star safety Jalen Harrell to commit to the Miami football program was big for the Hurricanes who lost five commitments in the 2020 and ’21 classes since the loss last week to Florida International.
The 2020 Miami recruiting class has risen from 14th to 17th nationally with the commitments of Harrell and Jaylan Knighton. Knighton is a four-star running back that announced his commitment to Miami via Twitter on Thanksgiving. Harrell is the third and highest-ranked safety committed to the Hurricanes 2020 recruiting class.
Harrell is the 231st ranked player overall, the 23rd ranked safety and 38th ranked player in Florida for 2020.
