The Herald’s Barry Jackson spoke to James and Strickland on Wednesday and posted the interviews late Wednesday afternoon. The projections that came out earlier this week have the Miami football teams slated to go to a multitude of different bowls.
The consensus had the Miami football team playing in the Music City Bowl in Nashville with the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville and Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana as the next most likely destinations.
Miami has never played in the Music City Bowl. The Hurricanes have two appearances in the Gator Bowl. Miami last played in the Gator Bowl in 1999 with a 28-13 victory over Georgia Tech.
