The Tweet was an obvious, but cryptic reference to Tate Martell regarding his eligibility and if he will be able to play for the Miami Football team in 2019. Martell has been waiting for over two months after announcing he was transferring to Miami from Ohio State in January.
Martell will be the front runner to become the starter if he is granted a waiver to play this season. The Hurricanes learned on Monday that rising Redshirt Sophomore Cade Weldon is transferring. That leaves Miami with four scholarship QBs on the roster including Martell.
The Miami football team returns Rising Redshirt Sophomore and part-time 2018 starter N’Kosi Perry and Rising Redshirt Freshman Jarren Williams.
