The news of the de-commitment of four-star cornerback Jalen Harrell from Florida State is potentially good news for the Miami football program. The Hurricanes 2020 recruiting class recently had de-commitments from four-star CB Jaiden Francois and three-star CB Justin Hodges.
Harrell plays at Champagnat Catholic in Hialeah. Budding Miami star redshirt freshman defensive lineman Greg Rousseau previously starred at Champagnat. The only projection about who Harrell will sign a National Letter of Intent with from 247 Sports is from David Lake of Inside the U who projects him to Miami.
Harrell told Andrew Ivins of Inside the U that Miami safeties coach and co-defensive coordinator Ephraim Banda projects him at safety in college.
