The Miami football program continued boosting its depth at cornerback with the addition of Demetrius Freeney from the (Junior) College of San Mateo (California) on Thursday. Freeney is the fourth transfer CB for Miami on the 2023 roster. That is in addition to freshmen Damari Brown and Robert Stafford in the 2023 class.
Central Florida CB Davonte Brown, Jaden Davis from Oklahoma and Jadais Richard from Vanderbilt previously transferred to Miami for the 2023 season. Brown participated in spring practice. Davis and Richard announced their transfers after spring practice was completed. Brown, Davis and Richard should all compete to start.
