Richt has done an exceptional job rebuilding the Miami football program. The Hurricanes 19-7 record over the last two seasons is their best since having back to back 9-3 seasons in 2003 and 2004.
Richt enters the 2018 season with a 164-58 record in 17 seasons as a collegiate Head Coach. He was 145-51 at Georgia before coming to Miami. Richt had by far the best credentials of any of the three Power Five Football programs in Florida at the time of their hiring.
The Miami football team’s two biggest rivals Florida and Florida State just hired new Head Coaches after what can be called disastrous seasons by their standards.
