MIAMI GARDENS — Rueben Bain is keeping his talents in Miami.
The standout defensive lineman announced his commitment to Miami on Tuesday night, announcing his college choice at the Nat Moore Trophy presentation at Hard Rock Stadium.
Bain was a finalist for the award, which goes to the top high school football player in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. The other finalists were American Heritage’s Brandon Inniss, Chaminade-Madonna’s Edwin Joseph and Miami Edison’s Nathaniel Joseph (who is also committed to Miami).
Bain, who is listed at 6-2 and 250 pounds, picked Miami over Florida State, Auburn, Alabama and Louisville, among others.
