The Miami basketball team sprinted to a 9-0 lead and never lead by less than eight points in a resounding 91-60 victory over Coppin State on Saturday afternoon at the Watsco Center. The Hurricanes answered Coppin State’s first three points of the game with 10-0 run to open the game with a 19-3 lead.
The first 19 points of the game for Miami were all scored by Senior D.J. Vasiljevic and junior Sam Waardenburg. Waardenburg opened the scoring for the Hurricanes by making just his fourth three-point field goal of the season.
