Miami basketball coaching staff to join Lonnie Walker at NBA Draft

Walker is likely to become the second highest drafted player in the history of the Miami basketball program. Legendary Basketball Hall of Famer Rick Barry currently holds that distinction. Barry was the second pick in the 1966 NBA Draft.

Shane Larkin who plays for the Boston Celtics is presently the second highest drafted player in Miami school history. He was the 18th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He never played for them. Larkin was traded to the Dallas Mavericks on draft night for three other players.

Miami’s basketball program is likely to make more history on Thursday.
