The Miami baseball team took the opener on Thursday night 4-3 and won Saturday’s game 5-1. The Blue Devils crushed the Hurricanes 12-3 in Friday night’s game. Two five-run innings for Duke was the difference in their victory on Friday. The Blue Devils opened the scoring in the top of the fourth with a five spot.
Miami closed the gap with single runs in the fourth and fifth. Duke pulled away with one run each in the sixth and seventh before blowing the game open with a five runs eighth. Evan McKendry started for the first time in nearly a month for the Hurricanes.
