With a 27-15 overall record and 15-14 in the ACC, the Miami baseball team was bypassed as a regional host June 4-7. The NCAA released 20 potential sites that will be trimmed to 16 regionals on May 31. The announcement from the NCAA means the Hurricanes will be on the road for the NCAA Baseball Tournament in June.
Ranked 22nd in the RPI, Miami is likely to be two seed in the regionals and no worse than a three seed. The NCAA is choosing pre-determined sites for the first time instead of awarding the regional sites to the 16 top seeds for the Tournament.
