The game between the Miami baseball team and North Carolina State on Thursday night in the ACC Tournament will determine the winner of Pool D. If Miami beats North Carolina State and loses to Duke in their other Pool D game on Friday afternoon, the Hurricanes would still own the tiebreaker.
North Carolina State defeated Duke 8-7 in 11 innings in the Pool D opener at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Tuesday night. The first four days of the ACC Baseball Tournament are a round-robin made up of four pools of three teams each. The winners of each pool advance to the semifinals on Saturday.
