The Miami baseball team began the weekend splitting a pair of wild games against Pittsburgh on Friday and Saturday. The Hurricanes won 13-10 on Friday night and lost 11-10 on Saturday afternoon. Sunday’s game began to look like there would be another high scoring affair when the Hurricanes plated three in the top of the first.
The first two runs for Miami in the series rubber match were unearned after a throwing error from Pittsburgh third baseman Andres Antonini scored Freddy Zamora and Adrian DelCastillo. JP Gates singled in Raymond Gil for the third run. Miami added runs in the fourth and the eighth for the 5-3 victory.
