CORAL GABLES – All season long, the Hurricanes’ focus has been on finding a way to get to Omaha.
They pushed for an opportunity to earn one a highly-coveted national seed that would give them the chance to host a Super Regional on the home field where they’ve been impressive all year.
They earned that, along with a regional championship last week. Now, after Miami’s 3-2 win over Virginia Commonwealth on Friday afternoon at Mark Light Field, the Hurricanes are one win away from getting back to the College World Series for the first time since 2008.
