The victory moved the Hurricanes to 9-2 and helped them sweep Maryland-Baltimore County in a three-game series this weekend. The victory was the Miami baseball team’s fourth in a row after dropping the final two games of a three-game series to Florida in Gainesville last weekend. Miami defeated FIU Wednesday night.
Miami scored runs in seven of the eight innings they came to the plate on Sunday afternoon. They scored two each in the first and seconds innings, one in the third, six in the fourth and three each in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings.
