Central Florida took an 8-1 lead after 6.5 innings. The Knights scored six in the fifth and two in the seventh to seemingly put the game away. The Miami baseball team had the tying and game-winning runs in scoring position with two outs. Third baseman Raymond Gil struck out to end the threat.
Miami opened the scoring in the first inning with an Adrian Del Castillo home run. Del Castillo’s home run was his eighth on the season. He has 61 RBIs. Del Castillo is 15 RBIs behind Ryan Braun’s freshman record set in 2003.
