Miami baseball blows 2-run 9th inning lead, gets swept by NC State

North Carolina State used big innings throughout the weekend to earn the sweep over the Miami baseball team. The Wolfpack had a five-run fifth in a 6-3 victory in Friday night and a three-run fourth and two-run sixth in a 7-6 win on Saturday. The weekend sweep pushed the Hurricanes losing streak to six games.

Miami came back from a run down twice on Sunday before a two-run eighth inning gave the Hurricanes the lead entering the ninth. Closer Danny Federman got the first out of the ninth before North Carolina State rallied. Three errors by the Hurricanes contributed to the Wolfpack rally.
