Miami and Florida State will meet for a third time for the second consecutive year. The teams are also playing in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals for the second straight season. Fifth seeded Miami upset the fourth seeded Seminoles 74-56 in last season’s ACC Tournament.
The Seminoles won both of this year’s games by an average margin of 12 points. Florida State won both regular season matchups in 2016 as well before the Hurricanes pulled the slight upset.
Miami enters the game 22-7, ranked 16th in the country and is the seventh seed in the ACC Tournament.
