The Miami Hurricanes moved to 29-16 (17-15 ACC) with a 5-4 comeback win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Sunday afternoon. Miami’s Sunday afternoon comeback gave the Hurricanes a much-needed series win heading into the last week of the season as Miami looks to improve their seeding for the ACC and NCAA Tournaments.
Hurricanes starter Jake Garland worked a solid first four innings for Miami. Garland allowed just one run on a sac-fly through his first four innings of work before running into trouble in the fifth. A single followed by back-to-back homeruns gave Georgia Tech three-runs in the inning and made the score 4-0 in favor of the Yellow Jackets after five innings.
