The Miami Hurricanes are 26-25 (15-13 ACC) after their ninth consecutive win. Jeb Bargfeldt dealt a complete game shutout in what will be his last home start in college baseball. The senior allowed just two hits and no walks over his nine innings pitched, and he had the Eagles off balance all night.
At the plate the Hurricanes got off to a quick start. In the bottom of the first Freddy Zamora reached to start off the inning. He scored quickly after Tony Jenkins knocked a double to right, scoring Zamora from first. Romy Gonzalez would walk to give Miami two men on, but the ‘Canes couldn’t take advantage of the threat.
