To reach the next level and make another run at a bid to the College Football Playoff, the Miami Hurricanes are going to need more consistency from their ground game. That was one of the topics Richt discussed during his appearance at the ACC Kickoff in Charlotte.
In the four Miami Hurricanes losses in 2016, the Hurricanes averaged 65.25 yards per game on the ground. Over half of those yards came in the home loss to North Carolina with 139 yards rushing.
Miami averaged 2.03 yards per carry in those games. Yards lost on sacks count against that number.
