When Mario Cristobal took over as Miami’s coach on Dec. 6, the Hurricanes’ 2022 recruiting class was languishing. Miami was near the bottom of the Atlantic Coast Conference class rankings and outside the top 50 nationally, according to 247Sports.
When the new Miami coach stepped up to the podium for a National Signing Day press conference on Wednesday, the Hurricanes had surged all the way to No. 14 in the nation and third in the ACC.
