Redshirt sophomore quarterback N’Kosi Perry was 16-27 for 182 yards and a touchdown passing and added 17 carries for 27 yards and another touchdown. Perry made the plays necessary for the Miami football team to win. He was clutch on the Hurricanes’ opening drive of the game and in the fourth quarter.
Miami drove 78 yards on the game’s inaugural possession to give the Hurricanes Miami a 7-0 lead. The Miami offense struggled after the opening drive through the end of the third quarter. After the opening touchdown drive, the Miami offense only generated 40 more yards through the end of the third quarter.
