Former Miami football head coach Mark Richt’s demeanor has often been blamed for the Hurricanes lack of intensity at times during the last three seasons. Current Miami head coach Manny Diaz discussed some of the players what seemed to be lack of intensity and drive in 2018.
Richt had many of the same criticisms of his teams during his 15 years at Georgia. Both at Miami and Georgia Richt’s teams fell short of preseason expectations and the talent on the roster. Miami began the 2018 season ranked eighth in the country coming off a 10-3 2017 season.
