The Spurs rested Lonnie Walker in the second game in Salt Lake City on Tuesday night. The entire NBA Summer league was off on Wednesday for Independence Day.
With two days of rest, Lonnie Walker bounced back well. The 18th pick in the June NBA draft scored 14 points on five of 12 from the floor and two of four on three-point attempts. Walker also contributed three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
One of Lonnie Walker’s Spurs Summer League teammates is also a Miami basketball alum. Trey McKinney-Jones made his 2018 summer league debut on Thursday night.
