Lonnie Walker was second on Spurs and led their backcourt with 14 points. He added five rebounds two assists and three steals. Walker’s shooting was much better against Washington but still needs work. The pride of Reading, Pennsylvania was five of 13 from the floor, split his two three-point attempts and made all three of his free throws.
Walker is joined on San Antonio by another former Hurricanes guard, Trey McKinney-Jones. The veteran professional basketball player didn’t fare as well on Sunday.
McKinney-Jones had six points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal. The former Fort Wayne Mad Ant shot two of eight from the floor, missed both of his three-point attempts and made both free throws.
