Miami took to the hardwood Thursday night against Florida A&M. The final result was never in doubt as the Hurricanes routed the Rattlers 90-59, but Coral Gables collectively held their breath as they saw freshman guard Lonnie Walker injure his left ankle.
Coach Larranaga would later confirm Walker had just “rolled his ankle,” but the scene was quite scary as it seemed like he couldn’t put weight on his ankle getting helped off the court by teammates and staff.
Walker wouldn’t play for the rest of the game, but rest assured, Larranaga said after the game, “He’s going to play in Reading.
