The Hurricanes returned to the practice field Tuesday morning to continue spring workouts — and linebacker Zach McCloud was out on the field, in uniform, going through some non-contact drills with his teammates during the early media viewing portion of practice.
McCloud’s participation — even if limited — came a day after Miami coach Mark Richt, during a radio appearance on Tuesday, indicated there may have been a chance in McCloud’s status.
“I really like our veteran linebackers. They’re veterans now. They’re juniors,” Richt told WQAM 560’s Joe Rose on Tuesday when asked about the strongest position on the team.
