On Tuesday afternoon, another pair of Miami Hurricanes players were named to another watchlist for the 2019 season. Senior LB Shaquille Quarterman and junior DE Jonathan Garvin were named to the Nagurski Trophy watchlist.
A 4 year starter this season, Quarterman has been one of the best players on Miami’s defense since he arrived on campus in 2016. With more than 230 tackles — along with plenty of TFLs and sacks — to his credit, Quarterman is routinely seen making plays.
While Garvin may not have the cache that his teammate possesses, he has all the skills you could want from a defensive end.
